It's been awhile

Well it's quite obvious that at this point in time, I find no interest in writing for this blog. There are many reasons. For one, I discovered Twitter, which I find sufficient for sharing whatever I need. Two, I rarely have anything so important to say where I find myself wanting to come to this site and put something together. Three, I'm really lazy when it comes to this, especially when the readership is minimal. Four, nobody really cares do they?

A JOB

After 3 weeks of responding to every Craig's List ad, calling temp agencies, and harassing retailers, I was finally offered a full-time job at Radio Shack. Would have loved to get a job involving my major, but nobody is hiring and I cannot afford to intern for free anymore. Either way, I now will have a job that will leave me time at night to focus on music. As dismal as as a job at the Shack will be, this song will keep me going:

Listen

Colin Marston of Dysrhythmia

Had a great time playing a show with these guys and getting some of their insight. Definitely some of the most ridiculous musicians I’ve ever seen.

Read a book

Now that I'm finally finished with school, I have found a lot more time to read. I always found it hard to be immersed in a book while having to study marketing textbooks at the same time.

Just finished Rant by Chuck Palahniuk today. This guy never ceases to mess with my head. For those of you who don’t know, Chucky P. is the guy who wrote Fight Club and Choke, which were both adapted to film. I’ve read three of his books so far and loved all of them. His writing can get confusing at times but is always twisted and interesting.

Check out everything Palahniuk here.

My band Monera is playing this coming Monday at Church. You can check out our music through the links below or through the widget on the right side of this blog. If you like music that’s aggressive and weird, you may want to check it out.

Other bands playing will be Dysrhythmia (Relapse Records), Tombs (Relapse Records) and Led to the Grave.

Give the bands a listen:

Monera

Izzi Creo

Dysrhythmia

Tombs

Led to the Grave

Obamicons

The brother sent this to me today. It’s scary how much he understands me.

Go ahead and try it yourself
